DotaScan is a gadolinium-based contrast agent designed for intravenous diagnostic use during magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) investigations. It helps visualize areas with disruption of the blood-brain barrier or abnormal vascularity in cranial, cerebral, spinal, and non-coronary arterial diseases in adults and pediatrics.
- Clear, colorless to yellow, aqueous solution containing gadoterate meglumine
- Same active ingredient and relaxivity as Gadoterate brand innovator
- Intended for intravenous bolus injection or power injector
- Recommended dose: 0.2 ml/kg (0.1 mmol/kg) body weight
